Love-Type Waves in a Rotating Fibre Reinforced Functionally Graded Medium with Magnetic Field, Gravity, and Surface Stress Interactions
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study investigates the propagation of Love waves in a rotating, fibre-reinforced functionally graded medium (FGM) subjected to the combined effects of a uniform magnetic field, gravity, and surface stress. The magnetic field is oriented to facilitate a two-dimensional analysis of the problem. An analytical expression for the Love wave velocity is derived. The validity of the solution is established by showing that the derived dispersion relation reduces to classical results in the absence of gravity, surface stress, rotation, and fibre reinforcement. Finally, the influence of these governing parameters on the phase velocity is analyzed and illustrated through graphical representations.
