Abstract

Cloud finops (financial operations) is the practice of optimizing and managing the financial aspects of an organization's cloud computing resources. It involves identifying cost savings opportunities, implementing financial governance, and using data analytics to track and optimize spending. The goal of cloud finops is to ensure that an organization's cloud resources are being used efficiently and effectively, while also minimizing waste and unnecessary spending. In this paper, we will review the key principles and practices of cloud finops, including cost optimization strategies, financial governance frameworks, and data-driven decision making. We will also discuss the benefits of adopting a cloud finops approach, including improved cost visibility, reduced waste, and better alignment with business goals.
